1350-1600 V IH2 series IGBTs, ideal for soft switching applications

High-voltage range for induction cookers

Maximize efficiency in single-switch quasi-resonant converters from 16 to 60 kHz switching frequency

Maximize efficiency in single-switch quasi-resonant converters from 16 to 60 kHz switching frequency

The IH2 series IGBTs available in 1350 V and now 1600 V feature advanced trench gate field-stop (TGFS) architecture. The offer higher breakdown voltage in combination with low VCEsat, low thermal resistance, and extended 175°C maximum junction temperature to increase operating margins and raise reliability and ruggedness under all conditions. The low drop diode and optimized turn-off energy ensure efficient, single-switch, quasi-resonant converters from 16 to 60 kHz switching frequency range.

High efficiency

  • Low conduction losses: low saturation voltage allows lower power dissipation
  • Enhanced switching performance: advanced trench gate field-stop (TGFS) architecture minimizes tail current for lower turn-off energy
  • Low forward voltage: thanks to low-drop and soft recovery antiparallel diode

High reliability & thermal performance

  • High thermal efficiency: low thermal resistance ensures efficient heat dissipation
  • High temperature capability: maximum junction temperature of 175°C improves durability in challenging environments
  • High-voltage spike tolerant:
1600 V breakdown voltage allows the device to handle large voltage surges and spikes
