STMicroelectronics honors the players in its ecosystem at Technoday 2017

At its Technoday 2017 event in Paris on May 22, STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) , a global semiconductor leader serving customers across the spectrum of electronic applications, showcased its latest technologies designed to make manufacturing, driving and consumer devices smarter, more connected and more secure. In France, as in all other countries where it operates, ST works with a multitude of companies that represent the geographic and industrial diversity of innovation today, from startups to SMEs (small and medium-sized enterprises), mid-market companies and major French corporations. 

The businesses honored at the Innovation Trophies ceremony in Paris were singled out for the excellence of their collaboration with ST, their creative flair and the innovation they bring to their products, in ST’s two main areas of application: Smart Driving and the Internet of Things (smart things, smart homes and cities, smart industry).

The winners in the Startup category were:

Segment: Smart Things

  • LEDGER (HQ: Paris / CEO: Eric Larchevêque) develops security solutions for cryptocurrencies and blockchains for enterprise and industrial customers and the consumer market. In its Nano S and Blue electronic wallets for B2C and B2B applications, Ledger uses secure microcontrollers, STM32 microcontrollers and Bluetooth Low Energy ICs from ST.

Segment: Smart Industry

  • TRAXƎNS (HQ: Marseille / Founder and CEO: Michel Fallah) develops digital container monitoring technologies. Its TRAXENS-BOX is permanently attached to containers and collects real-time data on their location and the status of their contents (temperature, humidity, etc.). These boxes use ultra-low power STM32 microcontrollers, NFC readers and MEMS motion sensors.

Segment: Smart Things

  • NETATMO (HQ: Boulogne-Billancourt / Founder and CEO: Frédéric Potter) is the French market leader in connected devices for the home. Netatmo’s innovative products help users create a safer, healthier and more comfortable home. Since 2012, Netatmo has released 12 devices and accessories in four categories: Weather, with the Personal Weather Station and accessories; Energy, with the Smart Thermostat and Smart Radiator Valves; Security, with the Welcome security cameras for indoor and Presence for outdoor; and Air care, with the Healthy Home Coach smart indoor climate monitor. In all its products, Netatmo uses STM32 microcontrollers, SPIRIT1 low-power, sub-GHz RF transceivers and MEMS sensors (temperature, humidity, gyroscope, accelerometer, etc.).

  • ACTIA (HQ: Toulouse / President: Jean-Louis Pech) designs and manufactures electronic systems for critical applications in the automotive, rail and telecom sectors. In its Automotive division, ACTIA uses ST’s SPC 5X family of microcontrollers for cars as well as VIPower intelligent power circuits, Telemaco telematics / connectivity processors, TESEO embedded GPS positioning circuits and sensors for light, commercial and industrial vehicles (agriculture, construction, etc.).

  • DELTA DORE (HQ: Bonnemain / Chairman: Marcel Torrents) designs and manufactures intelligent solutions to control energy consumption and manage comfort in all types of buildings. In all its products, the company uses power supply components, motor controls, triacs, STM32 microcontrollers and MEMS microphones from ST.

  • LACROIX ELECTRONICS (HQ: Saint-Pierre-Montlimart / Chairman of the Lacroix Group: Vincent Bedouin) is an electronics equipment supplier that designs and manufactures electronic assemblies and subassemblies for customers in the industrial, automotive, home automation, healthcare and aviation sectors. In its products, the company uses ST’s VIPower intelligent power circuits, STM32 microcontrollers and STSAFE family of secure microcontrollers.

  • SOMFY GROUP (HQ: Cluses / Chairman and CEO: Jean Guillaume Despature) is the global leader in opening and closing automation for both residential and commercial buildings, and a key player in the connected home. It uses STM32 and STM8 microcontrollers from ST for the management of motors and remote controls as well as VIPer power circuits and MEMS sensors.
