221e

221e

221e is an innovative SME, incorporated in 2012 with offices in Asolo (TV) and Dalmine (BG), Italy.
The firm is active in the development of ideas, projects and products, exploiting the convergent advances in the fields of IT, microelectronics, sensors and control algorithms. Our value chain is synthesized below

 a. SENSORS: 221e links with leading manufacturers in the industry of sensors – MEMS especially – in order to exploit state-of-the-art solutions  in terms of technology, sensing abilities & performance, power consumption and hardware footprint.
 b. HARDWARE ENGINEERING: 221e has engineered a modular hardware ecosystem that can serve as a basis for a multitude of applications in diverse fields.
 c. EMBEDDED ALGORITHMS: Depending on the sensing solution necessary for the intended application, 221e implements control algorithms that enable the final system to perform pre-determined actions / responses based on the identification of a particular condition / event. The algorithm is the brain of the system and therefore what makes it “smart".
Fields where our products have been applied are: Sport Science (inertial systems), Health/Biomed (motion sensors), Furniture (wireless charging), Automotive (wireless charging and inertial systems), Construction (motion sensors), Entertainment (motion capture), Personal Protective Equipment (inertial systems, event detection), Wearable electronics (biometric sensors, motion sensors, wireless charging), and Industrial automation (inertial systems).
The company offers licensing and R&D services to industry partners; that usually leads to the engineering of custom products in behalf of its clients. 221e follows the project from specifications to feasibility study and prototyping; provides access to its supply chain for manufacturing and/or supports the client in setting up its own; and offers after-sales support for testing and quality management.
