STMicroelectronics offers a range of ultra-low-power and small-footprint wireless LAN solutions for portable and battery powered equipment such as mobile phones and PDAs. The product range features single-chip solutions that support all leading IEEE 802.11 standards. Manufactured in leading-edge all-CMOS-process technologies, they provide the advanced QoS mechanisms necessary to support voice over IP (VoIP) applications.

ST wireless LAN products are supported with reference designs and software packages to enable platform integration. Wireless LAN is also offered in conjunction with the Nomadik application processor and reference platforms.

Wireless LAN - Bluetooth coexistence
Bluetooth technology is considered a Wireless Personal Area Network (WPAN) system, intended for cable replacement and short-distance ad hoc connectivity. Its size and scope are what differentiates it from other types of wireless network.
ST fully supports the coexistence of Bluetooth and Wireless LAN connectivity.
