The new extension to STMicroelectronics' Snubberless Triac range offers devices designed for junction temperatures up to 150 °C. The dynamic turn-off commutation characteristics are also improved at the same time. These new high-temperature Triacs, together with the new ACST2, ACST10 and ACST12 autoprotected devices, and the STCC08 AC switch driver with diagnostics, ensure safer and higher-performance applications with cost-competitive solutions.
With the HiTj Triacs, the resulting smaller heatsink and smaller packages for the delivered current contribute to cost savings, while ACST immune devices and systems, supervised by the STCC08, lower maintenance costs, so increasing customer fidelity.
