ST offers a wide product portfolio for automotive DC motor-driver applications.

The new VNH5xxA/S family is based on VIPower (vertical intelligent power) technology, which embeds both the driving and power stages.  These devices include full-bridge DC motor drivers, implement a full set of standard protection features including thermal shutdown, current limitation, overvoltage and undervoltage, and also offer PWM capability.

In addition, ST offers a family of drivers designed specifically for DC, BLDC and stepper motor control applications. This family offers a set of standard functions and in addition, some devices provide networking IP for delocalized applications. Sensor-less topologies are supported by BEMF processing IP.
