Our automotive microcontrollers are supported by a complete range of high-end and low-cost evaluation and emulation tools. They implement the full range of device peripherals and features of each product line. Developers who are new to these microcontroller cores/families can also benefit from a range of starter kits, specially designed to help developers evaluate device features and start their own applications.
The SPC56XXMB evaluation system consists of an SPC56XXMB motherboard and an SPC56xx adapter which plugs directly into the motherboard. Different adapters are available for evaluating the whole family of devices in all supported packages.
For example, if you are using the SPC560B4L5 MCU in the QFP144 package, you will need the: SPC56XXMB motherboard for SPC56 series MCUs, SPC560BADPT144S daughter/adapter board for QFP144.

ST works continuously with our third-party partners to ensure that the latest devices in the SPC56 family are supported by these toolchains. Our aim is to provide customers with efficient toolchains yielding optimum code size and performance, via productivity tools such as emulators with backward simulation from a recorded trace, or quality assurance tools, such as code-coverage analyzers.
