Door module drivers

ST’s actuator drivers enable state-of-the-art automotive door module applications, from entry-level to premium vehicles. Designed for flexibility and scalability, ST’s door zone solutions combine integrated half bridges, H-bridge pre-drivers, high-side drivers, embedded communication interfaces such as CAN or LIN transceivers, and power management features. ST door zone solutions support typical loads such as window lifters, door lock motors, mirror adjustment and folding, mirror heating/defrosting, and local lighting, from incandescent bulbs to LEDs. For high-end cars, dedicated IP for electrochromic mirror glass control is also available. This scalable coverage helps OEMs and Tier 1s support a broad range of door electronics architectures with fewer design compromises, while simplifying door module design and enabling scalable platforms across vehicle segments.

Benefits

ST door zone solutions help simplify door architectures while delivering the integration, scalability, diagnostics, and power efficiency needed across automotive door platforms.

  • Simplified door architectures
Local control of all door actuators and lighting from a compact ECU reduces harness complexity and the number of module variants.
  • High integration and scalability
Multi output drivers and door zone system ICs allow reuse of the same hardware and software platform from basic to premium doors.
  • Robust protection and diagnostics
Integrated over current, over temperature, over /undervoltage and open load detection, plus SPI or bus reporting, improve reliability and serviceability.
  • Low standby current and partial networking
Advanced power management features, together with optional partial networking, help meet strict OEM quiescent current requirements.
  • Automotive qualified portfolio
AEC Q100 qualified devices in thermally efficient packages support long term availability for automotive programs.
