Hi all. I posted these two mailers yesterday on the USB forum, and I figure someone here on the ST40 forum might be able to help:
I've spent a few hours setting up the ST40-Connect unit to play over USB from my Win2000 PC. I've installed the driver, but I think my stumbling block is the 'st40run.cfg' file, which defines the target.
target brn3SysIt2 bkends4si "-little -ip 172.31.51.103 -linkspeed 5MHz" STB1_BM_config
This has been working fine over the LAN, but over USB I cannot detect target. I know the ST-Connect manual says USB is supported for Win98/2000. Any ideas?

Getting closer.
When first connecting the STMicroConn via USB, the PC installs the driver "htiusb.sys". The PC recognizes the STMicroConn just fine as a USB device.
However, "st40run.exe" doesn't like it. When specifying the "target" identifiers in "st40run.cfg", the second argument is the DLLFILE. This file should be placed in the WinNT\lib directory under $ST40_ROOT, which is where I found "bkends4si.dll".
target brn3SysIt2 bkends4si "-little -ip 172.31.51.103 -linkspeed 5MHz" STB1_BM_config
I changed my Enet driver "bkends4si" (with understood .dll suffix) to "htiusb", but naturally the .sys suffix was wrong. I do not have a "htiusb.dll" to use, and it is not supplied with the STMicroConn v1.5 install disk.
I strongly believe I need the file "htiusb.dll". Does anyone know where to find it, or how to generate it??
