Hi,
I am developing a IR remote controlled microcontroller based lamp dimmer. There is a problem of flickering in the lamp once its dimmed (depending on the input frequency). I have so far been unable to solve this. If any one knows of any application notes dirtecly addressing this or a program listing solving the problem of flickering do let me knowd. If anyone knows of any availble software or program listing for a microcontroller based IR remote controlled dimmer do let me known. It would be great help.
Thanks & best wishes to all,
vsds.

I'm sorry but I don't know any application note addressing this subjet but one colleagues experienced this issue and said me that one key point is the microcontroller clock stability mainly when is dimming at low frequency. So I can suggest you to use one external quartz without frequency drift or jitter.
Regards
