The LD1117 is a low drop voltage regulator able to provide an output current of up to 800mA. This device is available in the adjustable version (Vref=1.25V) giving the user greater flexibility in design without sacrificing its performance in terms of drop and tolerance. The LD1117 is pin to pin compatible with our main competitors.

Features
The fixed version is offered with the following output voltages: 2.5V, 2.85V, 3V, 3.3V and 5V.
The 2.85V type is ideal for SCSI-2 active lines termination. The Output Voltage for adjustable version can be varied from 1.25V to 18V using external trimmer.
High efficiency is assured by NPN pass transistor. In fact in this case, unlike the NPN transistor, the Quiescent Current flows mostly into the load.
Only a small, common 10µF (min) capacitor is needed for stability.

Voltage Output Tolerance
On-chip trimming allows the regulator to reach a very tight output voltage tolerance within ±1% at 25°C.
