Trisil™
belong to the category of crowbar protection devices.
In normal operating conditions Trisils are high impedance
devices. When the voltage across the Trisil goes above the
VBO, the device is triggered and becomes a short circuit
to divert the surge.
By operating in short circuit mode, Trisils combine a high
surge capability with small package size.
They are used to protect circuits against electrical over
stress (EOS) from telecommunication surge standards such
as ITU-T K20/21, GR1089-Core, YDT695…
