STM32MP2 microprocessor series, with single/dual Arm Cortex®-A35 running up to 1.5GHz, Arm Cortex®-M33 and Cortex-M0+ processors, now support you to design richer applications with enhanced performance, more security, and advanced edge AI capabilities.
The Arm Cortex®-M33 operates at up to 400 MHz, and can serve as the bootable trusted domain, securing the system, isolating critical resources, and managing Cortex®-A35 startup and resets. The Arm Cortex®-M0+ on STM32MP25x runs up to 200 MHz or slows to 16 MHz for minimal power use, leveraging its SmartRun domain to enable low-power peripheral activity while other cores are stopped.

This second generation of STM32 application processors opens the door to higher performances with a 64-bit platform, specifically designed for industrial applications requiring chip robustness in a connected and secure environment.
The STM32MP2 microprocessor portfolio comes in three main configurations:
- the STM32MP25x product line supports the growth of connected applications with extended connectivity.
- the STM32MP23x product line, a cost-optimized derivative of STM32MP25x.
- the STM32MP21x product line delivers essential MPU performance with optimized power consumption.
With the NPU accelerator, embedded in STM32MP25x and STM32MP23x, is it now possible to run AI applications on either the CPU, GPU, or NPU. Thanks to ST Edge AI ecosystem you can easily select, train, optimize and benchmark your AI model with AI tools (ST Edge AI Core desktop tool, ST Edge AI Developer Cloud online tool) before creating and deploying your application with X-LINUX-AI on your STM32 MPU boards.

Product types
TThe STM32MP2 series offers ten product lines with extensive pin-to-pin compatibility. Each line includes a security option (cryptography and TrustZone® secure boot) and an extended frequency option (Cortex®-A35 up to 1.5 GHz and GPU/NPU up to 900 MHz for STM32MP25x).
Available in seven package types, from 18x18 mm to 8x8 mm with various pitches, the STM32MP2 supports a wide junction temperature range (-40°C to 125°C), ideal for industrial and harsh environments requiring long-term reliability.
