Jay Esfandyari has more than 25 years of industry experience in Semiconductor Technology, integrated circuits fabrication processes, MEMS & sensors design and development, sensor networking, product marketing, business development and product strategy. Jay holds a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Technology of Vienna, Austria. He has more than 75 publications and conference contributions. Jay is currently the Product Marketing Manager at STMicroelectronics and he is located in Dallas, Texas. |
Gildas Henriet has more than 25 years of industry experience in several companies in the industry and Semiconductor companies, in the domain of Telecom, Smartcard and MEMS & sensors as R&D, technical engineer, product marketing functions. Gildas holds a master's degree and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Pierre et Marie Curie, Paris. He is today marketing manager with MEMS & Sensors responsibility for EMEA. Gildas is located in Paris, France. |
Vladimír JANOUŠEK is Application Team Manager EMEA at STMicroelectronics. He started as application support engineer at ST in 2003. In the professional carrier in ST moved across many different applications around MCUs, MPUs with focus on industrial and wireless connectivity (Ethernet PHYs, Ethernet in industrial buses, SubGHz, Bluetooth). Since 2008 the key focus has been on the new MEMS & Sensors products customer application support with extension in the past years to manage the application team focusing also on standard analog products (opamps, comparators) and power management applications (DC/DC, LDOs). |
Latest Sensors for Applications in Smart Industry
Emerging technologies and services associated with Smart Industry are driving forces behind smart industry. Its infrastructure is evolving by making production more efficient, and machines more intelligently connected. Advances in sensor performance and features, as well as communications technologies such as IO-Link will help manufacturers do things more efficiently, with greater flexibility and in a more environmentally friendly manner, while creating a safer workplace. During this webinar, we will start with an introduction to Smart Industry and provide an overview of predictive maintenance. We will then move on to introducing the latest sensors offered by STMicroelectronics. In the final section of this webinar, we will discuss the IO-Link communication standard and some of our evaluation kits equipped with IO-Link technology.
