A standard software implementation of the cryptography and keys storage creates vulnerabilities and can be easily hacked because of a weak implementation.
Trusted Objects has developed to-protect family that enables augmented security at device level with a highly secure implementation of cryptography, connectivity, and key storage. The solution targets embedded applications running on generic MCU (Arm® Cortex®, RISC V…).
to-protect is a 100% software solution implementing secure element functionalities with advanced security features against logical and physical attacks at the nodes, including side channel attacks and fault injection.
Security is considered essential for most LoRaWAN applications, so ST and Trusted Objects have set up a collaboration on to-protect LoRaWAN that has been ported on the STM32WLE5 series.
The benefit of the solution is to enhance security in LoRaWAN nodes based on STM32WLE5 System-on-Chip from ST, without adding complexity, while ensuring a short time to market.
In addition, Trusted Objects has introduced the tops technology to simplify the production process with LoRaWAN keys secure provisioning and code secure programming.
