電子レンジの主要部品はマイクロ波発振器(マグネトロン)です。この装置は、トランスに続き電圧増倍ブリッジを駆動してマグネトロンの駆動に必要な高電圧(数kV)を生成する高周波共振パワー・コンバータをベースにしています。

STは、高効率のマイクロ波発振器の設計に最適なトレンチゲート・フィールドストップIGBT、ゲート・ドライバ、および高性能マイクロコントローラSTM32を提供しています。また、STは、ランプ駆動用のトライアックとACスイッチ、ターンテーブルおよびファン用のモータ、環境センサ、LED/LCDディスプレイ・ドライバ、タッチスクリーン・コントローラ、非接触ユーザ・インタフェース用の測距センサを提供しています。
