ベクトル制御とも呼ばれるフィールド指向制御(FOC)は、2つの直交する電流成分を用いた、3相AC誘導モータ・ドライブにおけるステータの可変周波数制御の手法です。一方の電流成分はステータが生成する磁束を定義し、他方はロータの位置によって決まるモータ速度によって決定されるトルクに対応しています。

フィールド指向制御(FOC)

STは、ディスクリートIGBTやパワーMOSFET、パワー・モジュール、インテリジェント・パワー・モジュール(IPM)、高電圧ゲート・ドライバ、および高効率の可変周波数駆動(VFD)モータ制御の実装に必要な高性能STM32マイクロコントローラなど、様々なパワー半導体およびICを提供しています。

また、設計サイクルの削減および簡素化のために、包括的なハードウェア(評価ボードとリファレンス設計)やファームウェア、およびソフトウェア・ライブラリも提供しています。

    • 一般的に、パルス幅変調(PWM)ではなく、電流成分を参照値と比較する比例・積分(PI)コントローラを使用します。これにより、すべての速度範囲におけるスムーズな動作、速度ゼロにおけるフル・トルクの出力が実現します。また、高速な加減速、高性能モータに対するより正確な制御が可能という利点があります。

      FOCに使用されている空間ベクトル制御アルゴリズムの実装が効率化され、低価格マイクロコントローラの処理能力が高まることにより、比較的低い性能の誘導モータ駆動に使用できるようになります。また、コントローラの性能向上により、電圧 / 周波数制御アルゴリズムとの代替が期待されています。

    • 従来の直接フィールド指向制御(DFOC)では、電圧 / 周波数制御に比べトルクを正確に制御できますが、ロータの速度制御と磁束データを提供するためのセンサが必要です。また、動的応答や、モータ内のパラメータ測定への依存といった課題もあります。

      一方、間接フィールド指向制御(IFOC)ではロータの磁束の位相角を間接的に推量するため追加のセンサは不要ですが、制御システムはより複雑なものとなり、演算時間も増加します。

    • センサを完全になくすことでコストが削減され、AC誘導モータの信頼性が向上する一方で、コントローラの複雑性とコストが増加します。ロータ速度の情報は、センサに代わりモータ端子を介してステータ巻線の電圧および電流から抽出され、モータの電流制御にフィードバックされます。

      また、寄生効果を使用して、動的パフォーマンスと定常速度を低速で正確に決定できます。プロファイリング・ツールにより特定のシステム設計の性能を定義することで、センサレス・モータ制御に使用できるモデルの構築も可能です。
