バイポーラ・ステッピング・モータでは、電流は両方向に流れ、2相モータの2つの巻線それぞれを駆動するためにフルブリッジ・コンバータが必要です。動作中、電子制御のタイプ(フル・ステップ、ハーフ・ステップ、マイクロ・ステッピング)と得られる相電流波形によって、振動のレベル、音響ノイズ、動きの滑らかさ、共振に対する感度が変わります。
STは、モノリシック・モータ・ドライバIC(デジタル・コントローラ、パワー・デバイス、および保護機能内蔵)と、大電力用にコントローラとMOSFETを組み合わせた方式を用意し、これらすべての構成を包括的にサポートしています。
