予知保全とは?

予知保全(PdM)では、広範なセンサから収集されたデータに基づいて、潜在的な障害を発生前に見つけられる統計モデルを構築します。この手法に利用できるさまざまなツールは、しばしばクラウド上に存在しています。ツールには、例えば設備の正常性の傾向を追跡する統計分析や機械学習などがあります。

産業予知保全

状態監視とは?

状態監視(CM)とは、潜在的な障害を見つけるために、振動や温度といったさまざまなパラメータを監視することです。この手法を用いて問題を明らかにすることで、予防保全の予定を立て、故障の発生を防げるようになります。

継続的に状態監視を行うという手法は、通常、コンプレッサやポンプ、モータといった機器に対して使われます。データ収集は監視プロセスに欠かせない要素であり、Industry 4.0における生産現場の円滑な運営に役立ちます。

    • 予防保全について

      予防保全とは、基本的には計画され、予定された保全のことをいいます。これは予想される設備の状態、すなわち一般的には状態監視システムと統計的プロセス制御を通して得られる稼働年数やシステム利用状況に基づいて実施されます。しかし、これは不要な保全につながることがあります。機器に保全が必要ない場合もあるためです。予防保全を採用する場合、生産現場は受け身の保全に頼っているということになります。また予防保全では、機器の1つに障害が発生した後の障害診断に頼ることになります。障害診断は例えば、潤滑剤分析やオイル分析を通して実施します。

      主な違い

      予防保全と予知保全の違いは、予知保全システムでは状態監視センサが設備内のデータ収集を担当し、損耗のパターンを特定することで、障害の予測に向けたより的確なアプローチが実現するという点にあります。この際に、統計的監視を用いることもできますが、このような予測モデルでは、機械学習アルゴリズムが動作するニューラルネットワークを使って、データ内のパターンを特定することもできます。続いて予知保全では、システムの正常性を監視することで、予防保全の予定を立てられるようにします。

      状態監視センサの果たす重要な役割

      温度センサなどの状態監視センサは、予測分析に不可欠な要素です。温度の上昇は、障害を検出する上で鍵となる因子です。わずかな上昇でも、将来の信頼性の問題を指し示している可能性があります。これは機器内のプローブによっても検出できますが、離れた場所からでも、赤外線サーモグラフィによって確認できます。このようなサーマル・イメージングでは、マシン・ビジョン解析技法を用いることで、プローブでは捕捉できなかった機器内のホットスポットも示すことができます。

      予知保全センサ

      振動モニタも、潜在的な問題を明らかにするために利用できます。振動分析によって、回転機械の高調波周波数に生じた変化が明らかになれば、状態監視ツールは機器の劣化の進行度合いを予測モデルに対してマッピングできます。

      予知保全戦略による費用節約

      予知保全戦略を使って、上に述べたようなデータをすべて組み合わせれば、管理された方法に基づいて機械を生産ラインから外し、修理することが可能になるため、ライン停止につながる最悪の障害を予防できます。その結果、時間に余裕を持って予備部品を発注し、計画されたダウンタイムへの準備を整えられるようになるため、保全コストを削減し、費用の節約に貢献できます。例えば風力タービンの場合、遠隔状態監視システムによって特定されたコンポーネントは、電力への需要が低いときを選んで取り替えられます。

      予知保全ツールはインダストリアルIoT(IIoT)にとって不可欠の要素となりつつあります。リアルタイムの状態監視手法とさまざまなタイプのデータ分析に基づく効果的な予知保全戦略によって、よりコスト効率の高い修繕戦略が実現します。

      This use-case features a PC connection via RS485 with the STEVAL-IDP004V1 multi-port IO-Link interface. The PC GUI allows the monitoring of 4 nodes: pressure, humidity, temperature and 3-axis vibration (where you can adjust thresholds and other settings) under inspection with the powerful libraries embedded in the STEVAL-BFA001V1B software package.
