バック(ステップダウン)トポロジは、入力 / 出力絶縁の有無にかかわらず出力電圧が入力電圧を下回るDC-DCスイッチング・コンバータで使用されます。

STは、突入電流を最小限に抑えるソフト・スタートや電源投入時のシーケンス処理を可能にするパワー・グッドなど、様々な機能を備えた降圧コンバータIC(パワー・スイッチ内蔵)や多相コントローラ単相コントローラマルチ出力コントローラを提供しています。また、特定のEMI / EMC / 効率 / 電力密度目標やユース・ケース向けに微調整された降圧コンバータの設計に役立つプログラマブル・デバイスも利用可能です。

STは、CPUやDDRメモリ向けに、Intel VR13/VR12.5仕様に準拠した絶縁型シングル・ステージ48V/ポイント・オブ・ロード(PoL)共振直接変換ソリューションも開発しています。また、ダイナミック・セル・シェディングやパルス・スキップ機能を備えた、最大6つのインタリーブ・セル向けの極めて拡張性に優れたソリューションも提供しています。
