LLCコンバータは、3つのリアクタンス素子を備えた共振インバータです。このコンバータでは、ハーフブリッジまたはフルブリッジとして構成したスイッチ・ネットワークにより、DC入力電圧を矩形波に変換し、共振LLCタンクに送ります。そこで高調波を効果的に除去することにより、正弦波のような電圧・電流波形を生成します。さらにこれを、電圧スケーリングと1次/2次絶縁を提供するトランスに供給します。コンバータの電力フローは、方形波の周波数をタンク回路の共振に対して変調することによって制御します。

LLC共振コンバータでは、すべての半導体スイッチが1次MOSFETのターンオン時にソフト・スイッチング(ゼロ電圧スイッチング(ZVS))で、2次整流器のターンオンおよびターンオフ時にゼロ電流スイッチング(ZCS)であるため、電磁放射(EMI)のレベルが低減されます。さらに、LLC共振コンバータでは、磁気部品の高度な集積化が可能であるため、より高効率・高電力密度のコンバータを設計できます。

STは、幅広いパワーMOSFET、ダイオード、先進的なデジタル・コントローラ、高性能マイクロコントローラSTM32とさまざまな専用ペリフェラル(高分解能PWMタイマや高速ADコンバータなど)に加え、ハードウェアとソフトウェアの評価および開発ツール(リファレンス設計を含む)の提供により、開発者がLLCコンバータの利点を最大限に活用できるようにサポートしています。
