PoE(Power over Ethernet)は、IEEE 802.3規格とそこから発展したIEEE 802.3bt、IEEE 802.3at、IEEE 802.3af規格などに基づき、RJ-45ケーブルで無線アクセス・ポイント、VoIP電話機、LED電球などの受電機器(PD)に電力を伝送・供給するとともにデータの搬送を目的とした規格で、広く普及した技術です。
