The optimized and ultra-low power radio front-end combined with an excellent RF link and efficient power management architecture will extend battery life from months to years, making ST’s solution ideal for applications including lighting, smart home, beacons, fitness trackers, insulin pumps, hearing aids, or any energy-sensitive application.

A Bluetooth chip with a quick firmware upgrade

The on-chip non-volatile memory enables an easy and quick firmware upgrade, including in-the-field over-the-air (OTA) upgradability with firmware authentication and encryption if needed.

Several of our Bluetooth Low Energy 5.2 devices support proprietary as well as 802.15.4 protocols in concurrency mode.

Equipped with an on-board antenna, crystal oscillator and RF balun, ST’s Bluetooth Low Energy modules offer a proven, robust solution that ensures a quick time-to-market. They come with the embedded Bluetooth stack to provide a certified Bluetooth Qualification Expert (BQE) solution that is also fully RED, IC and FCC approved, thus ensuring rapid integration into the final application and providing an easy-to-use solution.

Our Bluetooth Low Energy ICs and modules are supported by an extensive set of evaluation boards, software development kits, application notes and design guidelines – thus facilitating the adoption of Bluetooth wireless connectivity technology into a wide variety of applications.
