BeonD is a technology-driven startup specializing in advanced engineering with a team of over 40 engineers and PhDs delivering unique, cutting-edge solutions primarily in custom battery packs and battery management systems (BMS) for the transport industry. The company excels in energy storage and electric mobility powertrain design, serving large corporations and SMEs mainly across Europe and North America. Founded as a spin-off from Politecnico di Torino, BeonD operates with six core teams covering battery systems, CAE, electronics hardware and firmware, mechanical design, testing, and vehicle dynamics, ensuring high quality and reliability while optimizing costs and development time. As a Design Services provider, BeonD also manufactures electronic boards tailored to evolving e-mobility needs.

Within the STMicroelectronics ecosystem, BeonD integrates its expertise by developing innovative solutions based on ST devices, accelerating prototyping and enabling customers to move seamlessly from engineering to production with direct access to production components. The partnership grants ST real-time insight into BeonD’s research and applications in e-mobility, jointly advancing state-of-the-art battery management solutions critical for electrification success. BeonD’s core functions include sensing (electrical and environmental) and cloud connectivity for directly connected IoT nodes, leveraging ST’s SPC5 32-bit automotive MCUs and current sensing amplifiers and comparators. Their multidisciplinary approach and technical expertise in custom electronic board development, including high-voltage BMS and sensor boards, provide customers with complete plug-and-play development of complex, integrated automotive and e-mobility solutions.
