ST’s STM8T series uses a ProxSense™ charge-transfer capacitive acquisition principle to support various applications from a basic single touch including proximity sensing up to an advanced matrix capable of managing up to 300 touches or channels. Proximity detection ranges up to 20 cm, and the capacitive electrode can be made using a simple conductive material such as a copper pad or conductive ITO layer.
The STM8T52/L53 series is based on the STM8L platform with ProxSense™. The robust cell provides strong immunity to perturbation, while the innovative STM8L provides the benefits of low-power Flash-based technology. The combination of these two advanced solutions meets the needs of the most demanding user interfaces.
