With over 4000 employees, ST’s Singapore manufacturing sites are home to our largest front-end manufacturing and electrical wafer sort (EWS) facilities. They also house packaging R&D activities. Our site in Ang Mo Kio, established in 1984, was the first front-end wafer fab in Singapore.
ST’s Ang Mo Kio site hosts a "Lab in Fab" R&D line to advance piezoelectric MEMS technologies. Announced in 2020, this "Lab-in-Fab" brings together three partners with leading-edge and complementary competencies. The collaboration aims to boost innovation and accelerate the development of new materials, technologies, and products for future applications.
New hires from our four Singapore locations now join a curated, shared experience to engage their hearts and minds. This enables them to network with colleagues from other sites and better understand ST’s operations in Singapore. Transitioning from site-specific, presentation-based format to an activity-based collective experience helps in synergizing our activities.
As a global company, we promote diversity, equality, and inclusion. Our WISE (Women Inspiring Supporting and Empowering) group leads this effort. They organize panel discussions and seminars at ST sites to inspire and empower women. In Singapore, the local team hosts fireside chats and talks by women leaders and allies. These events aim to inspire personal and professional growth.
When people contribute, perform and get results, we feel they should be rewarded.

ST’s Ang Mo Kio TechnoPark will receive Singapore's largest district cooling system (DCS). Estimated to be operational in 2025, the system will help reduce annual carbon emissions by up to 120,000 tons, equivalent to removing about 110,000 cars from the road. The DCS will enable ST’s Singapore site to achieve 20% savings in cooling-related electricity per year.
Inspiring and engaging young people in STEM is an important way to attract a new generation of engineers. At our Ang Mo Kio site, the STEM program has expanded significantly, the past years. A strategic partnership with ‘GirlsPioneers’, a flagship program by United Women Singapore, has led to improved gender diversity, with many girls participating in the events and activities.
