Material Declaration

STMicroelectronics’ banned, exempted and declarable substances list is regularly reviewed to include applicable regulations and customer's requirements and to insure that our suppliers are in line with our rules regarding the use of chemicals and hazardous substances. It defines STMicroelectronics declarable substances that our suppliers and subcontractors have to report in addition to regulated substances declarations.

STMicroelectronics has adopted the IPC1752 as the standard for the reporting of declarable substances and material groups. Our overall objective is to provide our customers with full product material chemical composition based on IPC-1752-2 Class 6 or IPC1752A, including:

  • Product information (including product Raw Line code for specific product materials declarations).

  • Manufacturing Process reporting application ( Terminal base alloy, Moisture sensitivity, Reflow cycles...)

  • Detailed materials chemical content of our products
    - List of substances by homogeneous material international reference
    - Homogeneous material weight (gram and ppm)
    - JIG declaration

  • RoHS declaration and exemptions

  • REACH SVHC declaration

To access the materials declaration, you can either browse the product tree in the Product selector or enter the commercial part number in the search box. The materials declaration document is symbolized by the  icons under orderable products in the product folder page. Adobe Reader® 7.0.5 is required as a minimum to open the materials declaration forms. The latest versions of Adobe (8.0 and above) are recommended for optimized use of the form.

Either the PDF form ( IPC-1752-Class 6, or ST's one for the new forms) and XML form (v1 or v2 fully defined by the standards and that can be loaded on customer's databases) are published on st.com. Files are downloadable under the default filenames PART_NUMBER_md.pdf, PART_NUMBER_md.xml.

IPC-1752A is available for the new products chemical declarations and change only.

The IPC-1752-2 Class 6 forms published on st.com will be reviewed on case by case basis only as no mass documents update obligation applies.

ST's specific product material declaration forms (either IPC-1752-2 Class 6 orIPC-1752A) include the full chemical content of ST products (including REACH SVHC declaration if any).
