On-demand Webinar: How to Reach Peak RF Performance when Designing an NFC/RFID Reader

Learn how NFC/RFID works and what you need to develop a high-performance reader system

In this 1-hour, on-demand webinar we examine a basic Near-Field Communication (NFC) reader system, including the input/output signals and key components surrounding the reader—the EMC filter, RX attenuator, antenna, and matching network. We explain why these components are important and how they should function in a reader design to ensure optimized RF performance. We also cover the internal blocks of a typical reader system and their primary functions.

You will be introduced to the devices that make up ST's RFID reader IC and chip portfolio, including newcomers such as the ST25R3916/17 and automotive-grade ST25R3920, with particular focus on the advanced features of the market-leading ST25R3916 NFC universal device & EMVCo reader.

You will learn:

  • The roles of the major NFC/RFID reader components and how they operate
  • The key requirements and functional blocks of an NFC/RFID reader system
  • About the newest additions to ST's high-performance reader portfolio
