This product family provides various combinations of features including audio DSPs, graphics acceleration unit, TFT / touchscreen interface, CAN interface, rear view camera and smartphone display replication interfaces.
ST’s offer is enriched by a complete, turnkey software solution that include middleware (connectivity stacks, file systems, etc.) and application software (media player, audio decoders, media library, iPod library, etc.).
This family of devices is fully scalable ranging from basic car radio to display audio systems with a high level of compatibility both at hardware and software levels.

Accordo5 multi-core system-on-chip for display audio, navigation and digital instrument cluster applications
ST’s Accordo5 (STA1295 and variations) processor powers applications ranging from display audio to AVN systems while efficiently addressing the digital instrument cluster segment.
Accordo5 processors feature a single or dual ARM® Cortex®A7 core at up to 800 MHz to process all media management, connectivity and audio decoding functions for in-vehicle systems.
In addition to embedding a powerful 3D graphics processing unit and a hardware video decoder supporting all the industry standard formats, the Accordo5 processor includes a flexible composition engine and a Full-HD capable display interface.
It is coupled with an audio DSP for supporting sound enhancement algorithms as well as Echo Noise Cancellation (ECNR) for Bluetooth hands-free phone calls.
It also features analog audio interfaces (inputs and outputs), suppressing the need for external audio codecs.
On top of its advanced security and encryption features, Accordo5 devices also integrate a dedicated, isolated ARM® Cortex®M3 core to manage secure CAN connectivity in real time.
All the Accordo5 device versions are ball-to-ball compatible, allowing the use of single scalable PCBs and consequently limiting hardware investment costs.
Accordo2 dual core processor for car radio and display audio applications
ST’s Accordo2 (STA1095 and variations) processor powers applications ranging from connected car radios to entry display audio systems.
The Accordo2 features a 600-MHz ARM® Cortex®R4 core to process all the needed functions of media management, connectivity and audio decoding.
It is coupled with a powerful DSP for supporting sound enhancement algorithms as well as Echo Noise Cancellation (ECNR) for Bluetooth hands-free phone calls.
It also features analog audio interfaces (inputs, outputs), suppressing the need for external audio codecs.
When the Real Time Operating System is used, applications do not need an external SDRAM to operate, further reducing total system costs (direct code execution “in place” from SQI NOR Flash).
For OEM implementations, Accordo2 devices also integrate a dedicated, isolated ARM® Cortex®M3 core to manage secure CAN connectivity in real time.
With this Accordo2 platform, ST also delivers and supports:
- a media player
- all audio decoder formats
- a media library / metadata management engine
- a library to control Apple® iPod® devices
The hardware compatibility among various versions of Accordo2 devices allows to use for the use of single scalable PCBs and consequently limit hardware investment costs.
