ST’s power-line overvoltage protection devices support applications such as satellite boxes (LNB), high power DC-DC converters, and telecom power rails.
They are designed to meet IEC 61000-4-5 and offer:
- Surge current capability up to 500 A
- Wide package offering, including multi-line high-power device packages
- Devices optimized to support specific applications
The ITA series is optimized for industrial applications, the SLVU and PEP01 for Ethernet or PoE, the STIEC45 series is for DC power rails.
PEP01-5841, for Power over Ethernet supply lines
Introduction to surges – EOS and ESD – definition, standards, effects and root cause
Industry’s smallest power-dense ESD & EOS protection for USB type-C ports
Available in the smallest possible package (1.0 x 0.6 mm), the new ESDA8P30-1T2 comes in a SOD882T package version. The new ESDA22P150-1U3M and ESDA24P140-1U3M – available in 2.0 x 2.0 mm QFN package – provide 4500 W peak pulse power capability and low clamping voltage, as low as 34V (I PP = 150 A (8/20 µs)).
The ESD robustness goes well beyond the IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 specification.
