The ST portfolio includes products able to optimize charging speeds on USB ports. On the device side, ST USB charger detection ICs are able to differentiate dedicated USB chargers from standard host or hub chargers. While on the host side, ST USB charger controllers are able to recognize the preferred device charging method (USB BC1.2, Apple Divider Mode, Blackberry etc…) to speed up device charging.
