Soracom Air for Cellular
Integrating Soracom Air for Cellular with your IoT application starts with an Air SIM module (SIM card or Embedded SIM). Similar to SIM cards from mobile network operators, an Air SIM module allows a device to connect to cellular networks and establish data connections. By inserting or integrating an Air SIM module into your device, it gains global cellular data coverage and can start sending and receiving data.
Cellular IoT Connectivity
Soracom supports 2G, 3G, 4G LTE, Cat-M1 NB-IoT, 5G, and NTN-Satellite, providing reliable connectivity through multiple carriers. The solution is scalable, allowing you to order more SIMs as needed without long-term contracts. You can manage SIMs via the User Console, set data limits, and apply IMEI locks. With Soracom, you only pay for the data you use and can set spending limits to avoid unexpected charges.
Soracom offers tools to manage IoT data, build dashboards, and set up protocol conversion. You can use efficient protocols like TCP or MQTT and convert to HTTPS within Soracom. Access devices remotely without relay servers or fixed public IPs, and provision, control, and monitor devices with advanced tools.
Soracom makes it easy to send data directly to AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud over cellular without custom code or storing passwords on hardware. This simplifies device-side logic, reduces resource consumption, and allows secure connections to AWS VPC without exposing traffic to the public Internet.
Soracom helps create a secure private network for IoT devices, allowing remote access without global IP addresses. Establish secure cellular connections between devices and on-premises or cloud-based systems, enhancing device security.
