Description
The DCP10001IY is an automotive-grade synchronous monolithic converter specifically designed for the isolated buck topology (iso-buck).
The wide input voltage range (up to 100 V) makes the device suitable for a broad range of applications. The primary output voltage can be accurately adjusted, whereas the isolated secondary output is derived using a given transformer ratio. No optocoupler is required. The primary sink capability (typically up to 1.5 A) allows power delivery at the isolated output up to 10 W.
The DCP10001IY is based on a V2COT architecture that guarantees high load transient performance with a fixed switching frequency.
The DCP10001IY is available in HSOP8.
When the device is disabled, the consumption is 2 μA. As soon as the EN pin is pulled up, the device is enabled and the internal 3 ms soft-start takes place. Spread spectrum is set to reduce EMI. The device is provided with a full set of protections (overcurrent, short-circuit, and overtemperature protections) that ensure safe operation.
