ST’s LED array drivers fully integrate all functions required to drive high-brightness LEDs. These devices allow constant-current control in a single-chip solution. The external parts are reduced to only one resistor that sets the preferred maximum current for all outputs. Devices also come with additional features such as high current, high precision, local and global LED brightness adjustment, thermal shutdown, error detection and auto power-saving functionalities.

New automotive-grade 12-channel LED driver with local dimming operates in standalone or in I²C bus-driven mode
The ALED1262ZT is a 12-channel 60 mA LED driver tailored to meet requirements for rear combination light applications with graphic animation.
The device features two operating modes (bus-driven or standalone) and independent 7-bit PWM dimming with exponential brightness correction on each channel, making it suitable for rear combination lights and interior lighting systems, where high flexibility is a must.
Housed in a HTSSOP24 package, the ALED1262ZTensures long lasting robustness and stability thanks to diagnostic features such as open-LED detection and over-temperature warning with thermal shutdown.
