The sensor system is usually powered by 24V DC, requiring additional power management to drive the sensors. Such sensors nodes feature either digital (e.g. IO-Link) or an analog output. Analog sensors are typically signal conditioned by Op-Amps and connected to MCU's ADC (e.g. STM8 / STM32).
