Dishwashers today must be able to clean dishes more effectively while consuming ever lower levels of energy, water and detergent - all while reducing noise levels. Moreover, complex features such as connectivity are increasingly required in these appliances to enable home automation and control through the cloud and mobile apps, and user-friendly interfaces are needed to make them easier to use.
ST offers a wide range of STM32 microcontrollers, power MOSFETs, IGBTs and intelligent power modules (IPMs), triacs and AC switches together with high-voltage gate drivers, as well as a complete set of hardware and software evaluation and development tools, to help design efficient motor control solutions for the various types of motors found in these appliances (e.g. 3-phase brushless, universal, etc.).
In addition, ST's portfolio of advanced MEMS motion and environmental sensors, along with both wired and wireless connectivity solutions, help meet the challenge of designing connected, efficient and user-friendly dishwashers.
