ST's switching LNB supplies feature a built-in I²C bus interface and a DC-DC step-up converter (with integrated NMOS) that, from a single 8 to 15 V source, generates the voltages that allow the linear post-regulator to work at a minimum dissipated power. An undervoltage lockout circuit disables the whole circuit if the supplied VCC drops below a fixed threshold. The main IC diagnostic functions are controlled through the I²C bus interface.
