STM32L4 series of ultra-low-power and performance MCUs
STM32L476/486/496/4A6 devices extend the ultra-low-power portfolio and performance with an ARM® Cortex®-M4 core with DSP and floating-point unit (FPU) at 80 MHz. This series offers USB (OTG 2.0 full speed and USB OTG Crystal less, LPM and BCD support), an LCD driver (4x44 or 8x40 with step-up converter) in addition to the large set of peripherals.
The STM32L476/486/496/4A6 portfolio offers from 256 Kbytes to 1 Mbyte of Flash and from 64- to 169-pin packages. Its memory range can easily be extended using SDIO, Quad-SPI and FSMC interfaces.
128-/256-bit AES hardware encryption is available on STM32L486 and STM32L4A6 devices.

The STM32L5 is based on Arm® Cortex-M33 and TrustZone® technology combined with STMicroelectronics security implementation. On your STM32L562E-DK discovery board, TrustZone is disabled (factory setting) and you can develop as on any other STM32 device. This video shows how to enable TrustZone on STM32L562E-DK discovery using STM32CubeProgrammer and create, compile and debug or run a new project with STM32CubeIDE.
