Trunk control is in its own right a fairly complex system with all the motorized arms and latches used to implement power trunk lifts, power lift gates, door locks, and clinch/latch features found in the latest vehicles.

When the number of functions – and thus the number of motors and relays – increases, the challenge is to be able to design efficient, reliable and scalable solutions to fit with the many variants found in car-model ranges.

Our portfolio of low-ohmic, fully protected high-side drivers, designed with our proprietary VIPower™ technology and available in a variety of combinations including H-bridges arrangement for motors together with our SPC5 32-bit automotive-grade microcontrollers and power management ICs can help design effective and scalable solutions for trunk control systems.
