Ultra-low power multi-modulation wireless STM32WL3x microcontrollers line now expanding.

Based on Arm Cortex®-M0+ core, sub-GHz radio, and wideband wake-up radio, STM32WL3x microcontrollers support multiple modulations and an IQ interface for custom modulations for even more flexibility.

The STM32WL3x is a highly integrated long-range wireless solution for IoT devices offering a simplified design approach and low power consumption for extended battery life.

STM32WL3x product types

STM32WL3x microcontrollers provide designers with flexibility in terms of memory size and pin counts.

Two ECOPACK2® compliant packages are available to address different levels of complexity to ensure a cost-efficient fit for application requirements.

Protocols for STM32WL3x

The STM32WL3's main radio offers long-range connectivity with RX sensitivity up to -132 dBm, programmable TX power up to +20 dBm, and low power consumption (10 mA at 10 dBm). It supports various modulations, an IQ interface for legacy protocols, and complies with global radio regulations, covering 159-185 MHz, 413-479 MHz, and 826-958 MHz for major sub-GHz ISM bands.

RF IPD

Reducing PCB footprint and achieving the best RF performance with STM32WL3’s IPD:

A portfolio of 8 RF integrated passive devices (IPDs), MLPF-WL-0xD3 RF IPDs, is available and ready to be used as STM32WL3 companion devices. RF IPDs, integrating into a tiny footprint the RF BoM of harmonic filters and impedance matching, can be used to speed up RF design and time-to-market.
