An irrigation system designed to determine the exact amount and timing for water supply as well as determine the correct quantity of agricultural chemicals to add to the mix can greatly reduce waste and help enhance productivity and improve resource efficiency. Sensing soil humidity, temperature and pH is then at the core of a modern irrigation system with sensors deployed in the field and wirelessly connected to the control unit.

We have a wide range of MEMS environmental sensors and low-power short- and long-range wireless connectivity solutions including Bluetooth Low Energy, LoRa, Sigfox and NFC solutions that together with our STM32 microcontrollers can help developers design cost-effective and highly efficient ultra-low-power control and sensing systems.
